Factory tour: We visited several factories and learned about the manufacturing process and technology of each factory. We were particularly impressed by the manufacturing process of cutting tools and cookware, and were able to gain a deeper understanding of the processes that require high technical skills and precision work.
Cultural Exchange: Through interactions with factory workers, participants experienced local corporate culture and the working environment, and also discussed the appeal of Japanese manufacturing from an American perspective.
Local meals: Enjoying lunch made with local ingredients gave us the opportunity to experience the local food culture and to bond even more with the locals through food.
Participants' impressions
I was deeply impressed by the unique appeal of Japanese open factories and the strength of the local communities that support them. In particular, it was refreshing to see the different manufacturing approaches and innovations from those in the United States, and it was a fascinating event that gave me a lot of inspiration.
