Event Overview
This session focused on Japanese animation and Egyptian culture, providing participants with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural appeal and characteristics of each country. Through the theme of anime and culture, participants were able to interact with other participants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Main Programs
Introduction to Japanese animation
Presentations were given on the history of anime, the major genres, and the impact of anime on Japanese society.
Introduction to Egyptian culture
Details about important cultural aspects of Egypt, historical monuments, and life and traditions in modern Egypt were shared.
Discussion about Christmas and New Year celebrations
The participants had a meaningful time discussing how they celebrate Christmas and New Year in their own countries and exploring cultural differences and similarities.
Participant responses
Many of the participants commented that it was very interesting to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese anime and Egyptian culture.
One participant commented, "It was refreshing and fun to learn about ways of celebrating across cultures," indicating that they enjoyed the opportunity to interact with others.
Future outlook
EmPath will continue to provide a platform for global exchange and understanding by showcasing cultures from around the world and giving people the opportunity to learn about each other's cultures. More diverse cultures are planned to be featured in the upcoming workshops.
